This week inside Tunu’s closet…(12)

Tunu is a Kenyan fashionista extraordinaire. She is well-versed in fashion matters. She is passionate about fashion such that she makes sure she stocks up her SHOP with the latest worldwide chic-est trends. She knows what’s IN when it’s still too hot and flying off fashion store shelves and she never minds sharing. All this is evident from her closet which is featured weekly on Capital Lifestyle as she gives you tips on how to rock some of these fashionable on trend pieces!

This week,it’s all about pants!

Electric blue pants

Tunu says: ” I simply adore this shade, it can be clashed with any other color possible! Red, yellow, green, pink, nude….you name it.

Add a pop of blue into your outfit and try not to mix this color with other shades of blue. Explore it with different colors and you will realize just how flexible it is.

Electric blue flatters all skin tones, for darker shades, mix it with bright colors like yellow, red and even neon colors and for lighter shades, you could go for beige, burgundy or even purple!”

Black pants + faux fur

Tunu pairs her black pants with a white blouse and a faux fur vest.

She says: “Fur is among the first materials and the oldest form of clothing and bodily decoration from way back in the days of Homo habilis . Some view it as luxurious and its mostly associated with glamor and lavish spending while others reject it due to animal cruelty.
Thanks to the invention of the synthetic fur, we can still rock it without any guilt;-)

Fur is mostly worn in mild and cool climates due to its warmth and durability, but with the Fur vest, it could work well during the cold days in Kenya!”

Riding pants

Riding pants are tight fitting trousers from the waist to the ankle, worn primarily for horse riding but as part of the Cross Over fashion trend from Sports wear- street wear.

Various designers like Ralph Lauren have incorporated this style into their clothing and it Rocks.
