Mickey and Minnie Mouse thrill Nairobi kids

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were in Nairobi last weekend to celebrate great kids’ television.

Parents seemed to be as happy as their children as the famous duo – who were making their first visit to Kenya – danced and posed for pictures at the Westgate Mall.

Mickey and Minnie left their home on the Disney Junior channel, to give a live taste of family friendly programming to Kenyans.

Disney Junior is Disney’s recently introduced preschool brand, which has been developed for kids and parents to enjoy together.

“We know that these two incredible characters are universally loved by young children and so to have them here in Nairobi was very exciting and lots of fun.  This event was definitely something we’re hugely pleased to be part of,” said MultiChoice Kenya General Manager Danny Mucira, while making reference to the open day.

Christine Service, Country Manager of the Walt Disney Company Africa, added: “We were thrilled that both Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were able to visit Kenya together for the first time ever.”

Disney Junior is one of three Disney channels available across DStv, GOtv and DStv Mobile.
