#JohnnyGill for the Tusker Lite experience

Johnny Gill, one of the main men of the iconic RnB group New Edition, will be on stage in Nairobi on the first week of September, courtesy of Tusker Lite.

The 46-year-old, who has one of the most distinctive voices in the music industry, is scheduled to perform at the Carnivore Grounds on September 8 to a select audience, who will be treated to a close up performance by the famous artist.

The show will most likely top the thrilling performance delivered in March by Gill’s compatriot Joe Thomas, at the last Tusker Lite musical fête that was attended by more than 3,000 fans.

Gill’s visit comes as his sixth and latest album Still Winning is going strong in the US charts, with hits like In The Mood and Long, Long Time.

Best known for the songs My My My, Rub You The Right Way, Fairweather Friend, as well as several other hits under New Edition, this latest album is testament that Johnny Gill is Still Winning.

Gill’s talent speaks for itself. In 1983, his first demo was snapped up by Atlantic Records, when he was just 17 years old. Numerous Gold and Multi-platinum albums later, Gill is feted especially for his remarkable live performances and his unending string of crusade to spread love through music.

Capital FM’s Programmes Controller Somoina Kimojino commented: “The Tusker Lite experience is about creating a musical experience and Johnny Gill will definitely transcend that. With his timeless music and new album, expect to have a fantastic music experience!”

“Grab a ticket as soon as you can so you don’t miss out on this one,” she told fans in an interview Capital Lifestyle.

Tickets will be on sale starting next week, at Sh3,000 each.
