Lady Gaga’s new perfume won’t have blood and sperm

(Relaxnews) – Lady Gaga has unveiled the eagerly anticipated campaign for her new fragrance Lady Gaga Fame, with the black-and-white ad featuring tiny men crawling all over her naked body.

The songstress took to Twitter July 16 to reveal the ad, which was also showcased on her social network littlemonsters.com.

Shot by esteemed US photographer Steven Klein, known for his work with pop stars including Britney Spears and Madonna, the ad sees Gaga wearing a black mask and reclining on her side, with what appear to be metal action figures adorning her body.

The star had been anxious in anticipation of the big reveal, taking to Twitter to express her nerves.

“I won’t lie I’m a bit nervous. it’s been a while since i’ve shared some work with you. But i’m so proud of Steven+I, we really did not sleep! (sic),” she wrote.

It is expected that the campaign will begin running in magazines this September.

Earlier this month Gaga disclosed more details about her debut scent via Twitter, telling her followers there will be two versions of the Fame fragrance, an “affordable” small bottle and a larger version dubbed “Le Masterpiece.”

The smaller edition of her upcoming edition will be priced at around $30, while the premier edition of the fragrance will retail for more than $70.

The perfume is set to arrive in stores this September and has been described as the “first ever black eau de parfum.” Although black in the bottle, it sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne.

Although it had previously been reported that the singer’s debut perfume would make reference to the odours of blood and sperm, it has since been described as one of “floral and fruity elements.”
