Joe promises fans a great performance

The Virgin that crossed the Atlantic with Multiple Grammy Award nominee RnB crooner Joe Thomas chilling somewhere in First Class, touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport this morning.

Joe was mobbed by reporters and fans who had converged at the airport to await his arrival from as early as 7am.

He told reporters that he was excited to be in Kenya – his first visit – and that he would make the stopover worthwhile for his fans.

“For my first trip you know I like to go over and beyond to give a great performance so, look forward to that… The most important thing is that you leave feeling something.”

Joe will be the main act at the second edition of the Tusker Lite Experience at the Bomas of Kenya on Saturday.

Musician June Gachui, guitarist Eddie Grey and the Different Faces band will curtain raise for Joe at the intimate show arranged to ensure all fans get as close to the singer as possible.

Joe, who has already released nine albums, says he’s planning to present a tenth album this year.

Tickets to the Joe concert are retailing at Sh3,000 and are available HERE , the Capital FM Offices or the Bartons and Mellabloom stores at Junction, Prestige Plaza, Westgate and Village Market.
