Crisper, cleaner Castle Lite launched

You can now fulfill your beer palate’s every need with a new Lite beer that has all the taste and less of the carbs at your favorite watering hole now. Crown Beverages as a way of expanding its product portfolio in Kenya this week launched Castle Lite into the market. This comes in the wake of the successful launch of Miller Genuine Draft and reintroduction of the bottled Redd’s.

Castle Lite that promises to have all you’ll ever want in a beer contains 25% less calories, 20% less carbs, and only 4% alcohol. Therefore it has a crisper, cleaner and a more refreshing taste and comes from 18 years of lite beer brewing experience.

“Kenya offers a ready market for new products due to the diverse and increasingly globalized nature of the consumers who are ready for choice. Their different lifestyles demand a choice of premium, globally recognized products which we are able to give with Castle Lite” said Pinkie Nyandoro, Marketing Manager, Crown Beverage at the launch ceremony.

The launch of the beer in the Kenyan market comes after successful launches across Africa, including South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Lesotho, Tanzania, and Uganda. Castle Lite was launched in 1994 in South Africa and has been very successful in all the markets.

“We are specifically targeting people who live a fast paced life and are going places but are still discerning enough to know what is good for them. Our Castle lite consumer is responsible, focused and in control and this beer offers a beverage that fits into their active lifestyles.” she concluded.

Castle Lite will be distributed across the country in non returnable 330ml bottle and will retail at a recommended price of Kshs120 in Supermarkets and Kshs150 in Bars.
