Diani Beach: An intimate paradise

August 23, 2011 – Everyone, well almost everyone, knows how amazing Mombasa is as a tourism destination.  Whether you’re on Mombasa Island itself taking in the historical sites such as Old Town and Fort Jesus, or enjoying coastal tourism on the North and South beaches, Mombasa is simply a destination that you can never get bored of.

With its beautiful fine white sands, quiet shores, and colourful coral reefs – Diani Beach is certainly a personal favourite.

Diani Beach – An Intimate Paradise

Located south of Mombasa, Diani is just a short drive from Mombasa (depending on the ferry queue of course) or you can fly directly into Ukunda, which is just minutes away from Diani.

Quieter, fewer tourists and the 25km long white-sanded beach, makes Diani a preferred vacation spot for those that are looking for a more intimate coastal retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the North coast.

Diani Marine

Aside from being a 5 star Padi Dive Center, Diani Marine is the perfect place to relax and experience coastal tourism quietly, without large numbers of hospitality staff following you around.

A spacious and luxurious bed and breakfast, Diani Marine is situated right on the beach surrounded by sprawling tropical palm gardens.  Their staff are extremely personable so don’t be surprised if you’re on a first-name basis by the end of your first day at Diani Marine.

What more can I say? I’ll let the photos speak for themselves…
