In a wedding that brought the celebrity world to a standstill on Saturday the 20th Kim kardashian,30, said “I do” to her short term basketball pro (Nets player) fiancé Kris Humphries ,26. The lavish wedding that went down in Santa Barbara, Carlifonia saw about 440 guests attend.
Kim was walked down the aisle by her step dad Bruce Jenner. The ring bearer was her big sis Kourtney’s almost two year old son Mason. Just to show how big of a deal the wedding was, it got a couple of mentions on CNN.
It is not surprising that the bride requested that there be a dress code which the guests adhered to. The guests had to wear either white or black. Yes! And Kim was not worried that some guest will steal her “blushing bride thunder” by wearing white she was confident enough in her gown choice which was a Vera Wang creation. Being the fashionista that she is Kim changed her outfit during the reception not once but twice and both were Vera Wang gowns. Talk of giving Vera mad business.
The bridesmaids and mother of the bride looked stunning in ivory. The groom looked dapper in a white tuxedo jacket, white shirt, white bow tie and black tuxedo pants by designer Ermenegildo Zegna.
Among the A-list guests were Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest, Mel B, Venus and Serena Williams, Ciara, Avril Lavigne, Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato among others.
Kim has made some big bucks by selling her wedding photos and video rights. People magazine (US) has bought the rights for the exclusive photographs for $1.5million big ones. This is approximately Ksh138 million.
The wedding as was expected was epic! Soul singer Robin Thicke sang for the newlyweds’ first dance. Guests took to twitter tweeting how the wedding was beautiful and how Kim looked regal.
