August 1, 2011 – It’s Italian Week at The Thorn Tree Café at Sarova Stanley! Ending the 7th of August, a journey through Italy is what’s calling at The Thorn Tree Café.

Followers of The Thorn Tree Café will enjoy the themed 3-course lunches instead of the regular business lunches.  Every two weeks, the culinary team at The Thorn Tree Café will take you on a journey somewhere else in the World, ensuring you get-a-way from the hustle in bustle of Nairobi, well at least during lunch.

American and Kenyan Weeks were great successes and brought much needed diversity to the options for lunch in Town.  Some followers are already anticipating Indian Week; which will follow the current Italian Week.

Capital Lifestyle’s favourite was the Fusil con Gamberetti.  The white wine sauce was extremely flavourful and the prawns were cooked to perfection!

Insalata Caprezze: Mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, olive oil and spices

Creama di Funghi: Cream of mushrooms with oregano

Fusil con Gamberetti: Fusilli pasta with prawns, white wine, tomatoes and spices

Petto di Pollo al Funghi ed Asparagi: Grilled chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms and asparagus served with risotto and Puttanesca sauce

Meringa Di Limone: Lemon snow with Grand Marnier Sauce
