Reggae star Rocky Dawuni due in Nairobi

March 21, 2011 – Ghanaian superstar ROCKY DAWUNI will headline at the Songambele 2011 concert in Nairobi, Kenya on Sunday March 27.

Rocky, known for his tracks Walk the Talk and FIFA 2010 African Football Fever, will be at the non-profit event organized by March Forth Kenya Kids.

Every year, March Forth Kenya Kids hosts a reggae concert in Nairobi to celebrate the progress of youth and give them confidence and motivation to keep marching forth.

This family event will be held at The National Theatre.

Rocky Dawuni, was recently nominated for an NAACP Image Award in the United States for “Outstanding World Music Album” for his new album “Hymns for the Rebel Soul.”

Hymns was also nominated by the International Reggae & World Music Awards (to be held in Trinidad May 28, 2011) for “Best Music Album” and Rocky for “Best African Artist.”

Rocky has shared the stage with the likes of Stevie Wonder and Peter Gabriel and will be touring the United States and Europe this spring and summer.
