Kenya to host an International Fashion Fair

March 11, 2011 – Turkel Fair Organization Inc. will be hosting the First International Fashion Fair on 17th to 20th of March 2010 at KICC. The fair is aimed at providing a platform for local entrepreneurs, textile, fashion companies and industry players to interact with established and contemporary international brands as well as creating an opportunity for better investment and business opportunities within the markets.

The event will host over 35 exhibitors from Turkey, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kenya, who will showcase the best in the international fashion industry, capitalizing on latest trends, signature styles, textiles and leather products supported by the synergy of local expertise and regional cooperation.

Speaking of the upcoming expo, Turkel Fair Organization- organizers of the Expo, Chief Executive Officer Bulent Erten said, “Kenya is considered as a hub for investors and markets like Turkey and China have invested heavily in the East African region. Currently, more European, and Middle East countries are taking up the challenge in ensuring that they are part of the East Africa’s economic development.  It is my pleasure to announce to potential industry players to take advantage of this great opportunity by participating in the expo.”

The four day fair will be opened from 10.00am to 06.00pm. Riding on the theme “The Fashionist Kenya,” the fair brings together potential visitors including importers, textile manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, boutiques, department stores, buying agents, fashion designers, and other industry players.
