October 4, 2010 – Capital FM News reporter Judie Kaberia tied the knot on Saturday with Daniel Mwiti of Kiss FM, in a ceremony that appeared to be a ‘merger’ of sorts.

Mwiti and Kaberia said ‘I do’ at a garden wedding at the Jockey Club in Nairobi in the presence of family and friends.

Representatives from different media houses graced the occasion to see the duo take their vows. In attendance were also Capital FM Group Chairman Chris Kirubi and Group General Manager Cyrus Kamau.

The station’s Editorial Director Michael Mumo, News Editor Robin Njogu and a host of other colleagues were also present at the ceremony.

Mr Kirubi urged those present to ensure they bring up their children with moral values as this forms a strong foundation for the development of a country.

“It’s very important to instil good morals in our children as it becomes a crucial pillar later in life,” he said.

News Anchor Yunia Amunga who spoke on behalf of Judie’s colleagues congratulated the couple and urged them to learn to solve life challenges as husband and wife.

Presidential Press Service Director Isaiah Kabira spoke on behalf of the groom’s family, welcoming Judie into the fold.

Judie’s aunt presented her with traditional regalia that she immediately wore to symbolise a truly married woman according to Mere traditions.

Wedding details included flower arrangements, a six-tier fruit cake with buttercream, decorated using the wedding colour theme of royal purple and silver.

Kayamba Africa provided music with comedian Jalang’o and his counterpart Otosh focusing on entertainment.

The wedding culminated with showers of presents from friends and relatives.

Congrats you two! Leave your best wishes for the couple in the comments below.
