Nigeria’s 27-year-old Kevin Chuwang Pam is the USD200,000 winner of the Big Brother Africa Revolution. His first teary words after beating the 24 other participants were “I feel like Obama right now.”

The BA English graduate had said that if he won the Big Brother Revolution he would spend his money creating an entertainment empire and share some of it with his family and friends.

Kevin, who has seven siblings often told Big Brother that he was an aspiring rapper. He said he was proud to be Nigerian because Nigerians stand out and survive any situation – “Which is why you’ll find a Nigerian almost anywhere.

Some of the things the Manchester United fan missed the most outside the house was his rhyme book and pen.

Kevin’s love interest during the BBA – The Revolution was Elizabeth from Tanzania. The couple had a good deal of fighting and make up during their stay in the house. When Kevin expressed his interest in Elizabeth she told him that she was in a relationship and that her boyfriend is white, and she has never dated a black man.
Kevin reacted by saying that he has given up on wooing Elizabeth. However he did not stop. On one evening Kevin had more than a few drinks and again tackled Elizabeth on the subject of their ‘relationship’. He told her he is convinced that she loves him.

When a shocked Elizabeth was finally evicted November 8th, she said the thing she would miss the most about the House is Kevin. She of him screaming, “I love you”.

A similarly astounded Kevin spent the rest of Sunday evening sobbing, before he went to bed. “But I am sad baby, I am sad,” he told fellow teary countryman Nkenna who tried to console him.

Four times lucky
Kevin was up on the Eviction chopping block four times. In all four instances, various Head of Houses had swapped him. The first time he was up for eviction was when Itai saved countryman Kristal, putting him and Elizabeth from Tanzania up for Eviction.

They both survived another scare after Leonel saved himself and Mzamo and put them up for eviction instead. On the last two occasions, Kevin was swapped by Edward.

Kevin defeated Emma, Edward, Mzamo and Nkenna to clinch 11 points from Nigeria and nine other African countries. He also got a point from the Rest of Africa. Emma got two points: one from her country and the other from South Africa.

Mzamo and Edward got one point each from their respective countries and were second and third respectively to be evicted. Nkenna did not get any vote from any part of Africa and was the first to be evicted of the five finalists.
