TPF 3’s Alpha gets special health concession

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 21 – Alpha, the winner of TPF III, has been given a special concession by medical insurer Resolution Health – to meet the Sh10m worth of medi-care he received from them.

Resolution Health East Africa Managing Director Peter Nduati says they will have to make a special concession for Alpha because they do not have ‘any appointed Medical Service Providers in Rwanda’.

“But we are in the process of doing this. As a special concession for Alpha and to ensure he receives his prize benefits of the medical insurance and access that would be convenient for him, we shall allow him to be able to have access of medical services to our current network as well as the King Faisal Hospital in Kigali,” said Nduati.

Rwirangira (Alpha) walked away with Sh10 million medical cover after being voted as the favourite to win the TPF 3 competition on October 11. The Premium Plus medical package also has a Sh100,000 outpatient cover, besides dental and optical cover.

Resolution Health also provided an in-patient cover with an annual limit of Sh5m and an out patient cover of Ksh100,000 to Kenya’s Bernard Ng’ang’a, who came in number two.

Uganda’s Caroline Namulime got an Executive Medical Cover with an in-patient annual limit of Sh2.5m, with an outpatient cap of up to Sh100,000.

Resolution Health has a network of hospitals, clinics and doctors with over 250 medical service providers in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Southern Sudan, and are now in the process of setting up camp in Rwanda.
