December 6, 2016,… Zetech University Football Club (Zetech Titans FC) has embarked on an intensive recruitment for a coach to fill Sammy Omollo’s shoes, following an amicable parting of ways with the Kenyan coach.
Coach Sammy “Pamzo’ Omollo has joined premier league team Posta Rangers.
Coach Omollo has been instrumental to the vibrant varsity side, having rejoined it after a brief stay in India, strengthening the team in different leagues across the country.
University Executive Director, Communication, Corporate and Student Affairs Moses Maina expressed the institution’s appreciation of the beneficial relationship with the former Tusker FC coach, launching the search for suitable coach to lead the team
“The university is glad to have worked with one of the best, in leading the Zetech Titans FC to higher levels. It was a pleasure working with Coach Omollo who easily internalised our vision for the team and effectively helped us in our journey as we strive to join the KPL national league. He remains a respectable and inspirational figure to us.” Moses said, adding, “The intensive recruitment process for his replacement is in play as we scout for suitable talent to take over.”
On his part, Coach Pamzo noted that he has enjoyed working with the Zetech Titans FC and is proud to have been part of milestones such as the move to the division one league and the memorable opportunity to pit the Titans match against the 2016 KPL winner Tusker FC, during the GO TV Round of 16 in August.
He said, “It has been an honour working for the Zetech family and I wish to register my gratitude for the opportunity to coach and mentor these young but great footballers; the time has come for my move and I wish Zetech all the best.”
