National Oil Corporation Kenya (NOCK) donated equipment worth 100M. A team from the university visited the corporation’s terminal in Nairobi’s busy Industrial Area on the 6th July. With technical courses on offer at the university, the equipment will be of use to train students in various industries including Geology, Chemistry, Engineering and Physics.
According to an article published on the university’s site, most of the items which were in disuse due to depreciation will be rehabilitated, modified and used for training. Availability of proper equipment will enhance the learning experience of students from various departments and provide hands on experience preparing for the job market. Speaking on behalf of the team, Prof. Jackson Mbuthia, Dean,School of Engineering thanked NOCK for the kind gesture.
