Luis Suarez

Suarez bite

Where do we even begin with this prolific scoring talisman? For most African soccer fans, Suarez first came to prominence when he hand-balled on the goal line to prevent a Ghana goal against Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup. Ghana lost on penalties to Uruguay and Suarez was blamed by all the fans behind Ghana. While playing for Ajax, he bit an opponent. Since his move to the Premier League he has been accused of diving to win a number of penalties for Liverpool. Then there is his ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra. In April 2013, Luis Suarez bit Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and wasn’t sent off. He then went on to clinch the equalizer for Liverpool. No matter how he goes about his public rehabilitation and attempts to remodel himself in the public’s eye, Suarez remains the most largely vilified figure in the sport. I hate him too
