Future and Drake pair up for a new single “Used to This”.
With some clever lyrics and a heavy trap beat, Future delivers autotune laid on a baseline. The collaboration that features Hip Hop heavyweight Drake has a moderate pace and isfull of surprises. With controversy surrounding Drake after the release of his single “Two Birds One Stone,” this new partnership could take off the heat as the rapper continues to receive a negative feedback on his Kid Cudi diss.
Shot in a football field, the video is full of beautiful women who seem unaware on the game of football. Nonetheless, the bevy of ladies represent the Mexican team and play up Future’s support for the sport and the team. Future’s flow is tight though he adds little to no substance on the track. On the hand, Drake proves why he among the best in the industry. With lyrics like “tatted on me, but this s*!t is deeper than the surface,” the Canadian native alludes to various topics including his friendship all the while swerving the current matters surrounding his persona and his insensitivity to mental health matters.
Coming out of a summer tour that began in July in Austin Texas and ended in October Drake and Future have performed together on various occasions, with their first collaboration in 2015 for the song “Where Ya At”. The duo performed throughout North America pushing Drake’s new album ahead of his own personal tour set to begin in 2017 for the album “Views.”
For fans of Future, the song is worth watching though it’s clear Drake stole the show.
