Capital FM’s nightly show Hits Not Homework has had a standing tradition of exposing Kenya’s latest talent. Every Wednesday a special mid-week treat for the Hip Hop heads “Lyrical Wednesday” goes on air as a special segment.  “The Cypher” gives local MCs from all over the nation a chance to showcase their talent once a month hosted on the Hits Not Homework show . The month saw the show host Mombasa and Kisumu’s best as they all stake claim to the title of “Baddest MC.”
