Nairobi Senator Mike ‘Sonko’ Mbuvi will be among the students graduating tomorrow at Kenya Methodist University in Meru. The Senator, who is graduating with a degree in Business Administration, has said in a facebook post that he did not pursue a degree for political reasons.
Sonko took the opportunity to clarify his objective as he responded to Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero’s congratulatory message.
“I want to tell my constituents and Kenyans in general that I’m not graduating coz I want to become the Nairobi Governor. I’m not graduating coz I want to please voters in Nairobi to vote for me. This is not the time to ask for elective seats or votes,” said the Senator.
Sonko explains he went back to campus because he wanted to sharpen his leadership skills, adding he is not stopping at just one degree.
“I will also be pursuing a degree in political science in the near future,” says Sonko.
In a rare and candid comment on FB, Sonko admits he had to go back to school 15 years after completing his high school studies.
“I was the most notorious student in school coz I made my first millions when I was in form 3. I thought money was everything,” said the flashy politician.
