Cytonn breaks ground for Sh2.5Bn mixed-use development in Ruaka

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 28 – Cytonn Real Estate has kicked off the construction of Taraji Heights – a Sh2.5 billion it’s mixed-use developments – Taraji Heights in Ruaka, Kiambu County.

Taraji Heights is a mixed-use development which comprises 2 and 3 bedroomed and 3 bedroom with DSQ units seating in a 3-acre piece of land.

Residents shall enjoy other facilities such as a retail facility, a clubhouse with a gym, a swimming pool and a spa, as well as well landscaped gardens and playing fields.

“Our deal pipeline serves the various segments of the market ranging from the high end, such as the Amara Ridge whose construction is nearing completion in Karen, to the middle to lower-middle income like Taraji Heights, which will offer a comprehensive lifestyle and a secure community to families,” said Cytonn’s Chief Investment Officer Elizabeth Nkukuu.

Taraji Heights is Cytonn Real Estate’s second development within Ruaka, as they respond to the growing demand for residential units to house the ever growing middle-class seeking high quality and secure neighbourhoods, supported by the high returns to investors as witnessed from their pioneer Ruaka development, The Alma.

“In addition to creating secure gated communities, these developments are also creating jobs, contributing to the growth of the economy and raising the standards of living in the country. At its peak, the development will have created over 300 jobs on a daily basis majority of which shall come from the local community,” added Elizabeth Nkukuu.

Speaking at the event Kiambu County Governor H.E William Kabogo said he welcomes the project in Kiambu which is one of the fastest growing counties in the country.   “I am glad to mention that

“With that, comes the demand for housing. The rate of population growth in the county stands at about 2.0% and the population is projected to be at 1,174,087 by the end of this year. With this kind of growth ability to create employment for the people living here then is very important and that is why my Government is happy to partner with developers like Cytonn who on top of creating signature developments like Taraji heights and the Alma are creating employment opportunities for our youth,” said Governor William Kabogo.

The main contractor for the project is Landmark Holdings, a company associated with construction of many high-end developments in the country.
