The first and easiest way to know if you’re on your way to achieving your target of building a brand depends on whether people consider you a trusted source in your industry.

Fourth, be relatable. One thing that makes successful bloggers attract followers is because they do not just share away. They allow themselves to be real, personable and relatable. And how do you do this? Engage with your followers and fans frequently, show up to events if you promise you would, implement the constructive feedback they give you.

Finally, be truthful with your brand. There are people who build brands that are based on lies. For instance, the hype with entrepreneurship has led to some people branding themselves as successful entrepreneurs while in the real sense, they aren’t.  If you have been tempted to do this, consider the humble route of starting from the bottom and building an honest brand, because after all, the internet never forgets.
