NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 15 – Craft Silicon and Safaricom-backed ride hailing app, Little, is planning to launch in Uganda and Nigeria within the first quarter of 2017.
Speaking to Nigeria’s tech blog – Techcabal – Craft Silicon CEO, Kamal Budhabhatti, said the app may launch in Uganda sooner.
“Safaricom is a good partner but they may not be in every market but we have to figure out how to grow the business to other markets. Craft Silicon operates in 45 countries globally and we are going to launch in all these countries even if Safaricom is not there,” said Budhabhatti.
Little’s unveiling a year ago shook the cab hailing market in Kenya with Uber and Maramoja apps slashing prices, as Easy Tax exiting the country.
