On his part, the New East African Breweries Limited Chief Executive Andrew Cowan is also against the move.
“From a Diageo point of view, we are an international business that benefits greatly from EU, free trade perspective, for our business remain of the UK in the EU is really important and we hope the vote goes that way on Thursday,” Cowan told Capital FM Business.
British citizens will on Thursday vote on the question, “Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?”
They will have two possible answers: “Remain a member of the European Union” or “Leave the European Union”.
There are a total of 46,499,537 registered voters, according to the latest figures from the Electoral Commission. This is more than in last year’s general election when 46,354,197 people were registered.
