NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 8 – Bharti Airtel Limited has opened 18 new customer service shops across Kenya over the last 10 months with a plan to open 10 more before the end of its financial year that ends in April 2016.

This is part of the company’s retail expansion plan which is in line with the long term drive towards delivering the best service experience for customers.

The Airtel shops offer a bouquet of services which enable customers enjoy fast and convenient customer service with all their needs taken care of as quickly as possible in a welcoming and customer-friendly environment.

The shops also offer exclusive services such as, Airtel Money transactions, mobile data services, SIM replacements, post-paid contracts signup and bill payments. The shops also offer exhaustive collection of devices including phones and tablets to help customers choose from the latest in mobile technology.

The shops also have exclusive Airtel Premier lounges where premier customers get access to first class treatment upon presentation of the Airtel money premier visa card. These lounges are in Parkside shop, Sarit shop, Oval shop, Koinange street shop and Moi avenue shop in Mombasa.

Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi notes that the launch of more shops around the country has been a significant achievement for the company and underlines the importance of engaging with consumers on a daily basis.

“It has been our endeavour to enhance the customer experience for our customers. Through our 14 more customer service shops found in central and accessible locations, we have an opportunity to give our customers the overall retail experience that Airtel has to offer. We remain committed to continue investing in bringing the best in class, innovative, relevant products and services to win customer delight in the years to come,” said El Youssefi.

Airtel has 20 customer service shops and 25 distributors-owned shops. Airtel shops staff members have been well trained to address customer service requests and guide those looking to buy devices that suit their needs. All distributors shops have also been refurbished with the infrastructure and attendants trained to be able to equip themselves with enhanced customer service delivery mechanisms.

All Airtel shops open from 8am to 6pm From Monday to Friday, whilst those found in malls are opened on 8 am to 7pm- 8pm from Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays. Airtel shops are also open on public holidays.
