NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 8 – For the next 50 days, 50 Kenyans across the country stand a chance to win a brand new red Toyota Axio, courtesy of Airtel Kenya.

Dubbed ‘Smartika na 5X bonus’, the promotion will award Airtel’s pre-paid customers, distributors and retailers who achieve the 5X target which is stipulated by the promotion.

According to Airtel’s CEO Adil El Youssefi, the promotion is in a bid by the telco to express its gratitude to its loyal customers.

“We have launched today’s promotion with our loyal customers in mind. This is just a way of telling them thank you for choosing the Smartphone Network,” El Youssefi said.

To participate, subscribers will simply dial *141# to know their 5X target for the day. Afterwards, they will use their Airtel line to browse and make calls in order to reach their target for the day.

This will then be followed by a confirmation text message and a guaranteed 500 percent airtime bonus which automatically gets them entry into the daily draw.

The promotion will also have prizes for subscribers who do not make the cut for the red Toyota Axio.

According to Airtel, subscribers who meet the target also stand a chance to win airtime worth Sh2,000 and cash prizes worth Sh2,000 daily.

El Youssefi added that the promotion is in line with the company’s vision to connect people with each other while empowering them to create opportunities, dream big and live well.

This follows its ongoing ‘Shikisha Story na 5X promotion’ which was started a year ago to give its prepaid customers an opportunity to enjoy five times more bonus each day.
