Lake Turkana Wind Power by the numbers:
365 vest turbines will be utilized each rated at 850KW
350MW will be injected to National grid from wind power
15 heavy duty trucks will transport turbine infrastructure from Mombasa to Loiyangalani every night for one year
5,475 trucks will be used to transport the turbines
14% Wind power capacity equivalent to installed electricity generating capacity
50 to 90MW will be ready for commissioning by September 2016
310MW will be fully operational by April 2017
