REGIONAL SALES MANAGER– Nairobi, Mt. Kenya, Rift Valley (3 Positions)
Our client is a leading tea manufacturing company in Kenya and a subsidiary of a multination company. They are looking to hire a Regional Manager to be based in the above locations and reporting to the Sales Director across East Africa.
The incumbent is mandated to deliver distributors overall sales, availability and visibility targets and store keeping unit. The role of the Regional Manager is to develop existing and new distributors for our client. To deliver on the challenge, the position holder will work with a team of Trade Representatives in charge of delivering the agreed targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in conducting internal analysis of the department by providing data related to the distribution sales performance of the region.
Continuously appraise and report on distributors’ Networks, gaps and opportunities.
Maintain and update Distributors database containing all the details related to distributors of the specified region.
Ensure that all the Distributors in the particular region are aware of the various products.
Monitor the sales performance of distributors and track the sales of various products sold by the Distributors.
Ensure reports are prepared as per schedule and required format Ensure stock out are prevented at Distributors site by providing replenishment of the stock on schedule once the order is confirmed.
Ensure timely payment by Distributors of the region.
Ensure promotional activities done by marketing team covers Distribution sales channel and will assist marketing team in conducting those activities.
Liaise with delivery person to ensure that deliveries to Distributors are done as per schedule.
Assist Distributors in formulating their sales plan, promotions, reporting etc.
Share market intelligence regarding competitor activities, new products and new customer demands with the team.
Required to prepare the following;
Weekly/Monthly Coverage Plans-Itinerary
Weekly/Monthly Secondary Sales Data Reports of Distributors
Sales stock report
Monthly Brand Support plan and report
Weekly/ Monthly intelligence report.
4 Years Team Management Experience across Kenya and professional commercial qualifications.
Exposure to retail Penetration initiatives will be an added advantage.
Strong business development and strategy formulation
Be able to effectively drive cross-group communication and cooperation, using strong communication, project management and organizational skills.
Retail, Consumer marketing or sales background or proven knowledge of digital consumer selling channels
Possess a personal passion for marketing, customer relationship, technology, partners and satisfaction.
Negotiation and influencing skills that gain successful outcomes for the company
High levels of energy, drive, creativity and innovation
Demonstrate excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Organized, analytical and computer literate.
Self-motivated and self-driven individual with prospective personal development within the company.
Salary Budget: Kshs. 80,000 – 125,000 Basic plus attractive benefits package
