Give Your Bathroom a Make Over #PropertyInsights

It is very easy to overlook the bathroom. It is a functional place, and unless you like to take extra long showers and long soaks in the tub, you don’t spend a lot of time there. But this is still no reason to neglect it. Here are a few and simple ways to perk up your bathroom without ripping the whole thing up and starting afresh.

Color me pretty

Nothing perks up a room better than a fresh coat of paint. Get creative and add a bit of colour and personality to the walls. Sometimes making one small change can totally change up the room.

Switch out your shower curtain.

It is time to get rid of that dull, worn and tired shower curtain. Give the room a fresh perspective by switching out your shower curtain for a new, brighter and better looking one.

Replace your counter top accessories.

This doesn’t require any shopping. Look through your cabinets for a pretty soap dish, a ceramic cup, and vase or jar to keep your tooth brushes and a small tray or plate to corral your cosmetics. Try not to clutter your counter-top, as this will only make the room look more disorganized.

Get Organized.

You will be surprised how much space you can clear up by just putting all your supplies together neatly. Get a wicker basket and put in all your extra supplies. Other items like asprin and shaving gel should be kept behind a medicine cabinet door or drawer.

Swap out your mirror.

Mirrors can make a big difference in any room, but they are particularly important in the bathroom as they are highly functional but must still be in line with the overall décor of the room. Make sure yours is large enough to deal with everyday tasks such as shaving or applying make up. If not, it might be time to get a new one.

Light it up

We spend a lot of time pampering ourselves in the bathroom mirror, so your lighting should be top-notch. Maximize on natural light as much as possible.

Scrub away

You would be surprised at how much a good scrub could transform your bathroom. You don’t have to use any harsh chemicals to get your tub sparkling, a thick paste of water and baking soda and a good brush should suffice to get rid of the grime.

Out with the old.

Change out your old towels for newer and brighter ones. Also buying a new towel rack could serve the purpose and get your bathroom looking good as new.
