Microsoft today has announced the availability of the Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual SIM in Kenya offering five great integrated experiences. The 5 inch display Lumia 535 comes with a wide-angle 5 megapixel front facing camera.
Microsoft has preinstalled the Lumia 535 with essential tools like Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote notebooks at an affordable cost. The wide angle front facing camera gives users the ability to seamlessly switch between voice and video with built-in Skype integration.
“Many people, especially the younger audience, aspire to own the latest flagship smartphone but often don’t have the means to get it,” says Mariam Abdullahi, General Manager Microsoft Mobile Device Sales, East Africa.
“With access to the best services right out of the box, including the Windows Phone 8.1 update, Lumia Denim, The Lumia 535 helps people do more of what they want, for less.”
Following the launch, Orange Telkom announced a limited duration discount for the Microsoft Lumia 585 which will be retailing for Sh13,800.
“We are also very excited to offer a discounted launch price of Sh8,450 at selected Orange outlets including GPO – Mega, Extelecomms – next Co-operative house, T-Mall, Galleria and Sarit centre in Nairobi,” says Vincent Lobry, Chief Executive Officer, Orange Telkom Kenya.
Lobry says more customers now prefer larger screens at an affordable price.

The 535 comes with 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage and 8GB internal memory, with provision for micro SD.
