NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 1 – Andrew Wachira has been appointed the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Nairobi Securities Exchange(NSE) effective October 1, 2014 following the exit of Peter Mwangi on September 30, 2014.

Wachira has over 10 years experience at the Exchange having worked as the Head of Compliance and Legal Department since 2009.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi and is an Advocate of the High Court.

The process to recruit a permanent Chief Executive Officer is underway.
