NAIROBI, Kenya, May 6 – Former Kenya Commercial Bank CEO Martin Oduor-Otieno has joined Deloitte East Africa as a Senior Advisor-Financial Services Industry (FSI) group.

Speaking on his appointment, Deloitte East Africa CEO Sammy Onyango said that Oduor-Otieno’s experience from his excellent career in the banking industry spanning more than 10 years will enable the firm to move the Financial Services Industry experience to the next level.

In February 2013, Oduor-Otieno was also appointed to the board of East African Breweries Limited (EABL).

He also sits on the British American Tobacco board.

Before joining KCB, Oduor-Otieno worked as the Regional Head of Barclays Business Support based in Johannesburg, South Africa before rising to the Head of Compliance and Reporting in the same institution.

“We are pleased to have on board one of the best financial minds in the region joined our team. His experience in the banking industry will bolster service offering to Financial Service Industry clients served by Deloitte in EA,” said Onyango.

Oduor-Otieno said he is happy to be part of the Deloitte East Africa team.
