NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 22- Supermarket chain Naivas opened its latest branch in Westlands, Nairobi, bringing to 18 the number of their stores countrywide on Friday.

Speaking to Capital News on Friday, Willie Kimani the branch Marketing Manager said that the new retail outlet would offer affordable products and was strategically positioned to tap into the buzzing area of the nation’s capital favoured by high end consumers.

“The supermarket offers freshness, quality services and also it is affordable,” he added as he hinted that the new store would soon be a 24-hour supermarket so as to serve the huge demand driven by the surrounding leafy suburbs of Nairobi.

“This is the best post-election gift we could ever have,” a joyous customer who joined the multitude who thronged in to make capital of introductory offers said.

The new branch has a parking capacity of 70 vehicles outside the building and 200 others inside the Mall which is premised.

“It is located in a place you can come shopping at night as you go to your residence,” Timothy Mwangi, another excited shopper said as he waited to be served.

Kimani urged the Government to step up security to encourage more investors in the capital adding, “To realize the dream of a 24-hour economy, there must be security.”
