Models at NY fashion week wear Google Glass

Technology and fashion came together at New York Fashion Week on Sunday.

Models of the Diane von Furstenberg’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection show wore Google’s upcoming reality-enhanced glasses that have many smartphone-like functions.  Dubbed “Glass,” users can take pictures, record video, receive messages and check appointments on their calendars.

At the show’s conclusion, designer Furstenberg and Google co-founder Sergey Brin walked a celebratory lap on the runway.

Part of a short film, all of the video recorded from the models wearing Google Glass will be compiled together and released on Diane von Furstenberg’s Google+ page as “DVF through Glass.”
