NAIROBI, Kenya, May 21 – Airtel has launched an SMS lottery promotion that will see its customers answer fun and easy questions via SMS to enter into draws in which they stand to win up to Sh1 million.

Under the promotion dubbed Chanuka na Airtel Ushinde Milioni, customers will send an SMS with the word “WIN” to 777 upon which they will be subscribed and welcomed into the trivia promotion and begin to receive questions.

They will then receive messages and answer the questions via SMS on their phone.

Subscribers can also enter the contest by dialling 777 from their Airtel line and respond by selecting and dialling their preferred answers on the voice prompt. Participants in the promotion will earn 10 entries for each correct answer and 1 entry for a wrong answer.

All winners in the promotion will be will be notified by calls from telephone No. +254734111777.

Airtel Kenya managing director Shivan Bhargava said that the promotion will offer 270 lucky customers the opportunity to win daily cash prizes between May 18 and August 15 this year.

There will three 3 monthly winners of Sh1 million each and one grand prize winner to be rewarded with Sh3 million at the end of the promotion in August 2012.

The promotion is open to all pre-paid and post-paid Airtel customers.
