Kenyan CEO meets global business heavyweights

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 17 – Kenya’s Michael Macharia, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Seven Seas Technologies is among 100 global leaders attending this year’s CEO’s –Collaborative Forum conference in Barcelona, Spain.

The Seven Seas Technologies boss is the only sub-Saharan executive attending the annual forum which is an exclusive community of international growth-company leaders either based in Europe or with strong business interests in Europe.

The forum consists of about 100 members from 20 nationalities, in different Programs and Streams.

Speaking from Barcelona, Mr Macharia described his experience as a worthwhile immersion in European entrepreneurial situations which are closely linked to the African perspective.

“I’ve really enjoyed participating in European entrepreneur business challenges and glad to learn that their issues are quite similar to that of African entrepreneurs,” Mr Macharia said.

“CEO’s here are discussing serious innovations they are pursuing and can’t help but note that future innovations that will change the global market place been discussed in this forum.”

The ongoing conference is geared at assisting global business leaders identify and explore practical solutions to critical problems ranging from finance and capital mobilization, board and other stakeholder items, through sales channels, market segmentation and other commercial issues to operational challenges such as hiring and retaining senior staff.

Delegates attending the conference also learn and share best practices in business management through a collaborative initiative with IESE Business School at the University of Navarra in Barcelona.
