Tell Em forays into Uganda

, NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 15 – Kenyan publicity firm Tell-Em Public Relations (EA) has opened a fully fledged office in Kampala, Uganda.

Tell-Em Uganda will focus on providing public relations support and media relations for corporate companies and brands in the Ugandan market. 

Managing Director Elizabeth Cook said Tell-Em wanted to leverage on the emerging opportunities in the East African Community market.

  “We felt it was important to establish an office in Uganda, as we already have clients with business interests in that market and we also see a lot of opportunity in Uganda for a professional PR firm that delivers real results,” said Ms Cook.

The move is testimony to the increasing expansion of Kenyan media companies in the East African market. Others include media giant ScanGroup.

Tell-Em Public Relations Uganda is already boasting of successfully managing two large campaigns in the country.

The agency managed the COPA Coca-Cola Football campaign and media relations for the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour, which was sponsored by Coca-Cola. The trophy was given a Presidential welcome into Uganda in mid-November.

Ms Cook Further noted that in 2009 Tell-Em Public Relations managed two of the biggest events in East Africa. 

“We generated huge buzz on the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs), with journalists from all fields reporting on the event. In total we generated over Sh75 million in media value for the MAMAs campaign,” said Ms Cook.

The agency further generated over Sh105 million in the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour in Kenya in November.
