LONDON, May 13 – British inflation jumped to an annual rate of 3.0 percent in April from 2.5 percent in March, official data showed on Tuesday.
The 12-month inflation rate held above the Bank of England\’s 2.0-percent target for the seventh month in a row.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index rose 0.8 percent in April from March, the Office for National Statistics said in a statement.
